Laws of Cricket
The Laws of Cricket, copyright MCC, have been thoroughly overhauled as a result of a lot of research and consultation. As a result the revised version was launched on October 1st 2000 although not all ICC member countries accepted the revisions straight away most did.

However there remains the suspicion that too much weight has been given to the peculiarities of the first class game rather than the vast majority of cricket namely club and youth/school cricket.

There will surely be some puzzled club cricketers as 5 runs are deducted or added on and many a part time scorer misses the extra run with a wide and so on.
